Modeling the urban sprawl effect on vegetation-cover in Annaba

The environment is related to urban sprawl; it’s considered as the main threat natural city and destruction of rural area. aim this study analyse changes on land-cover (urban task forest-cover) in Annaba, using digital image processing techniques Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In order land-use change resource degradation subsequently understand relationship between two processes, we mapped stain vegetation-cover multi-temporal satellite images years 2000 2017.In that case, after observing characterising areas altering by expansion, modeling sprawl effect realised Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). results displayed that; 17 years; growth Annaba decreases 28.50 %.
